Serena Williams Set New Record After Beating Her Elder Sister, Venus To Win Australian Open

Serena Williams, became the most prolific grand slam winners since the Australian Open era began in 1968, after she triumphed over her older sister Venus 6-4 6-4 in a on Saturday to win her 23rd grand slam singles title.

The 35-year-old American, Serena, who was beaten last year in the final, becomes the most successful female tennis player in the open era with her seventh Australian Open title.
