Founder and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, is set to lose the land on which MFM Prayer City sits.
According to Sahara Reporters, the judgement of the Abeokuta Division of the High Court of Ogun State, presided over by Justice A.A Akinyemi, was ruled in favour of the Adejonlu family.
The court had on May 12 stated that the Adejonlu family are the bona fide owners of the land on which the famous crusade and camp ground sits along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway despite Olukoya been said to have bought the land from the Oduleye family.
This implication of the court judgement is that Olukoya’s church bought the land from, and paid, the wrong people.
Following the ruling, the lawyer of Adejonlu family, R. O. Sadik, wrote many letters to Olukoya for negotiation and settlement.
The letters then proceeded with demands by the land owners. Notably, the landowners requested the church, assisted by its lawyers, to determine the size and portion of their land on which MFM Prayer City sits.
The owners also demanded a payment of N5million per plot to cover the acreage that would be agreed on by the land owners and the church.
These demands have, however, not be met by the church.
But the owners are keen on enforcing the court ruling and taking full possession of the land.
